You may want to check out the helical coilgun concept for any future electromagnetic weapons.

Some of my electromagnetic weapons do use the Gauss system.

Well, the helical coilgun system isn't a standard gauss arrangement from what I understand. I just thought that you would enjoy it.

how did you get so good at detailing weapons?

Lots of practice and research I guess, heh
Thanks!

Ahhh!!!! So the Gorillas fight this:    moab23.deviantart.com/art/Jugg⦠ Right?
Can't wait to see the Gorilla design. From your description I'm imagining something like Appleseed's Landmates or the TAG's (Tactical Armoured Gears) in Infinity (especially the Nomad and Yu-Jing ones seeing as PanO's are remote operated and the others, Tohaa, Evolved Intelligence even Aleph are to alien ) (Helpfull Links: infinitythegame.com/    infinitythegame.com/catalogue/⦠  infinitythegame.com/catalogue/⦠ infinitythegame.com/article.ph⦠ )

Your welcome!
Question: will the Gorillas be Guards Battalion equipment? Or will they belong to another outfit? And do the Guards use something as heavy as a Gorilla suit (sounds funny) or are they strictly "light" infantry?

Gorillas are used currently used by the 214th Mechanised. Since they're still under evaluation, there aren't very many of them and there isn't a dedicated unit for them yet. There are a few assigned to the Battalion for testing (most kit is put through its paces by the Battalion) but those are used by the Support element and geared toward base defence, instead of being used by the Ravens in combat.
Ravens don't have anything as heavy as this (ended up being a little larger than expected, so it's more than a suit now), although they can add an exoskeleton to suits that already have powered strength elements

dArhengel In reply to MOAB23 [2015-04-15 19:02:52 +0000 UTC]
Well couldn't the Gorilla be the exoskeleton added to the suit that has powered strength elements?
I mean the SPARO V already is powered so when the RAVEN suits-up in a Gorilla, the Gorilla could "attach" to the SPARO V, and the powered components of the SPARO wouldΒ work in tandem with those of the Gorilla. Thus the Gorilla becomes an additional layer to the SPARO giving increased protection and strength and maybe flight, to be used when the situation requires brute force and the space allows the deployment of the bigger suits. And also because of the synergy of the SPARO and Gorilla the Gorillas used by the Ravens would have increased performance compared to those of the regular troops.

The exo worn with SPARO is the EX-02, which appears in my CWS pic. SPARO-V is actually a future plot armour (needs a redesign) that doesn't appear in the current plot, since it's derived from the ECE. SPARO-IV, which is the armour Ravens wear, has the Undersuit component with synthetic musculature to boost strength. The EX-02 simply augments that, so the can use things like the Terminator rifle without crippling themselves.Β
The Gorilla was always designed as a sort of mini-mecha, but given the requirements of the plot, it had to be scaled up beyond a large suit, so it isn't really 'worn' anymore. At the same time, it is, since it mimics operator movements as opposed to using input controls like joysticks on a cockpit.Β
Gorilla as it currently stands is actually 14ft tall

dArhengel In reply to MOAB23 [2015-04-15 20:17:02 +0000 UTC]
4.2m that's precisely the height of an AMP suite in Avatar. You said they were smaller. Halfway between an CnC Zone Armour, about 2.5 meters high and an AMP suite, 4.2 meters high. So the Gorilla should be around 3.35 meters tall, about 11 feet
And thanks for finally clearing up if the SPARO undersuite has synthetic musculature this, moab23.deviantart.com/art/SPAR⦠was not very clear on the issue. Although I see now that the design is no longer up to date. So my next question is when can we see the redesigned SPARO suite and undersuite?

Pfft
Was originally designed as a halfway but trying to create something of that size that could be worn ended up looking...odd in the concepts. Coupled with my intentions for it, a larger machine fit better, with heavier armour, greater strength and more firepower. It's closer to the AMP suit or ME Atlas mech now (although the height was an approximation I made from the sketches its coincidental there) in functionality, but a more flexible machine, particularly against the Atlas.
The info on that one is a bit outdated (aspects of it need to be revamped as well). This one has newer info moab23.deviantart.com/art/SPAR⦠.
SPARO-V probably won't be updated for a long time, but it will look different.

I reserve my judgment until I see the Gorilla itself. My mental image is of the AST from COD:AW combined with the Exos from the same game.

More enclosed than the AST, and far more mobile. Bigger too. As I picture it, it's a cross between a mini Titan and a Zone Trooper.

Titanfall. Humanoid with the arms and whatnot, just not as big and doesn't have a cockpit.

i'll hold my order until a more advanced version capable of fully automatic fire is developed, however i would be interested in a scaled down version for limited infantry use assuming noise can be cut down. we'll be in touch

i like this one, can't wait to see the gorilla

... I'm in!Β

MOAB23 In reply to EquilibriumYu [2015-04-08 00:49:31 +0000 UTC]
Hehe
Bit smaller. A kind of halfway between the Avatar AMP and the CnC Zone Armour. Worn as opposed to piloted, but bigger than a person. Has a jump jet system for obstacle clearance or softening air drop landings, plus an arsenal of secondary weapons. If they run dry, it has the power to just smash stuff Hulk style.
Haven't yet settled on a design, however. Mecha aren't really my strength. Like people I have trouble getting the body right .

Oh okay..
Reconsidering this....
A soldier wearing a ECE suit.. on steroids... that looks metallic??
I don't know haha, when you do settle on a design concept though, it would probably be stylish nonetheless.

MOAB23 In reply to EquilibriumYu [2015-04-09 04:29:41 +0000 UTC]
lol
It'll probably take me a while to settle on it, since I have a very particular idea of how it operates/moves, which limits my design parameters somewhat. Despite its size it's quite agile, able to run, jump and of course mimic the movements of the operator seamlessly, just scaled up.Β
They get a prominent (if short) role in my plot, facing off with something a tad...larger
Said larger thing also requires a redesign. Something sleeker, more agile and more dangerous. Got ma work cut out for me, heh.

Ah, I feel ya...
Next time, no need to tease me that bad. If this involves the Makies, or some ground war or whatever the hell is about to happen. Oh my god, I will be good damn going to heaven. I've always wanted see deviants regarding large scale war and not just weapons from you. (Not saying they're bad of course) It will increase the hype nonetheless.
Until then, cya Gaz!

I won't say who is involved, but there is a very massive and brutal battle, which I plan to describe from multiple points of view if I can pull it off
