This is part of my series of steampunked plush toys, part sculpture and part prop for a story I'm writing inspired by the projects.

This is Randal. He was the first toy brought back to life by the old Toymaker, but he didn't look like this then. After an unfortunate accident that led to him striking out on his own, Randal turned to a life of preying on other toys, scavenging their parts to augment himself.

To point out what is lost in this grainy picture, His right arm is fully articulated, and the fingers are carefuller bent pins that hook backward to form rather menacing claws.

Across his upper torso is a patch of leather from an old baseball, carefully unstitched from the ball and then stitched on to his body, one stitch at a time, with brass wire. In fact, all of the stitching is done in brass wire, because thread doesn't stand out well enough.
