This is a disturbing and well-crafted statement that deserves a wider audience, like an exhibition of art dealing with the struggles against addiction or women's health issues.
I've often been bewildered at the whole phenomenon of body image and weight issues that women face, especially in entertainment. Perhaps it is because my personal range of what I find attractive for aesthetic purposes (outside of just plain desire) is so very broad that it just annoys and sometimes angers me that in this day and age women like Betty Page and Marilyn Monroe could never get work in Hollywood. That is why I am glad there is this burgeoning area of alternative modeling and a revival of the pinup.
I like how stark you've made this...no pussyfooting around, rather taking imagery straight from the better horror films like those of Argento, Del Toro, Cronenburg and early Wes Craven. Kudos!
