Description
Yet We Continue To Build There, The StructureMy mate lives right next to an ongoing construction site in Dubai, and while spending an afternoon with him I was standing by the window and saw these workers hammering away at this portion of the foundation.
Oh, and remeber that rule I once ranted about on With Tired Eyes ([link] )? The one which gives a 3 hour break for workers? Well, apperantly that law is only in motion during the months of July and August. Hurrah for UAE labour rules =/
Me, a 2 by 4 and the UAE Minister Of Labour locked in one room. The fun I will have, tis good times just asking to happen.
Apologies for not responding to any of your works/comments lately. I have close to 300 DAs to respond to and Im being a lazy git.

My favourite parts of this picture (as the whole thing is simply awesome) are the earthy tones that come across from it, making the story more real and tangible; and how when I look at each worker I feel as if I zoom in and observe the scene from their own point of views.
Another golden one, moe.

Intresting angle and the strong shadows only add and give it depth somehow. Great shot!

i'm a builder myself, and i love this "way" of looking at a construction site. We see it changing day by day but from close up.
Nice angle, right place right time...

This is the single best shot you've ever taken in terms of composition. It looks like an Escher drawing. I'm totally gobsmacked.

Love the angle. It really captures the full extent of the scene. I like the way it's in colour, I think, even with all the detail in this picture, it would still make it quite boring if it was in black and white. Epic photograph.

I wouldve loved a B&W capture, unfortunantly I took the orignal image in colour, and converting it to B&W really gave a horrible effect thatnks to he low quality capture of my camera.
Thansk alot for the feedback mate

Yeah, it's rather addictive. The main reason I plan to upgrade and get a better camera is to be able to get clearer bw images.

What I'd give to see a photo session of you and the Minister of Labor, the 2 x 4 splintering against his worm-like, pampered body; the explosion of blood and bone spraying the room.
Looks like gratuitous violence, but feels like justice

such a tempting mental image. I'm an avid supporter of MLK jr. and Ghandi's teachings, but sometimes a beat down is needed

They say that violence is the last resort of the limited mind.
I say; every mind is limited, thus violence is everyone's last resort. Let's find him and whip his ass!!

I am glad to see that these hardworking workers will finally get what they have much deserved long ago.
And this appears as a puzzle to me...
But adore the angle you shot--where you had stood from. The construction is a bit chaotic but the shadows separate the workers from the confusingness. =o

Hopefully they will. There is a suprisingly large amount of peopel who have had it with what is happening here, and maybe we will manage to fix things for these workers
and <333 @ you. Glad you liked it dear
