Hello!Please concider this one as a Work In Progress!
I went to a cosplay convention last weekend as Cloud from FFVII:AC. Then a few days before the convention. I had this great idea of making a 1:1 size cardboard print of the sword so I could wear on my back!
I became really busy and had to hurry this project if I were to catch my train to take me to the convention the day before!
I unfortunately couldn't complete the whole sword before I had to go so I simply cropped the bottom part for now.
Anyways, I'm happy how it turned out compared to the time spendt ^^
I will upload more pictures of the cardboard of the sword and probably of me wearing costume along with it
But that will have to wait for a couple of weeks, till I have returned from my vacation!

Oh, i tried to model it over and over till i gave up, but now i saw your work, makes me remember the old times and now i wanna model it again. =]
Yeah, I did, they wants me to do CG in general (cg artist), But since it's commercials company, i guess i'll do commercials most of the time, oh and they still do stand still renders. The good thing is you can see their works like everywhere in this country, in the streets, TVs and Cinemas. They also will give a good payment, so i guess it'll be a good start for me.
Keep up with that blast, i wish i was there too.
yeah, I did a 240frame render contains 10mil particles in 30mins on my VERY SLOW pc. Krakatoa render engine is the secret.

Ehe. Yes. This is actually my 3rd texturing attempt. Each new attempt gave better results
Aha I see. Im kinda a general CG as well. But mostly 3D since no one else in my office really does it. Its fun because that makes me lead 3d artist in a way xD
I would say it a great start! Each new job or project for a client you do is a new challenge which offers a lot of new knowledge when done in additional to the product you make in the end. I love my work ^^
Hmm >.> Might want to try both with and without Krakotoa render when I come home..

And about Krakatoa, it's great tool, try to render 1million particle using the "normal" way and your PC will die,

Nonono; I made it in photoshop and 3D. However I printed it out on cardboard so I could kinda "wear" it to my cosplay
