I love the piece. It's very peaceful, and I love the detail that went into the trees. Reminds me of the mountain villages around Kyoto.
As for which game, a couple of people have guessed Okami, but this scene actually reminds me more of the starting village in the first Monster Hunter game.

The minute I saw this it felt familiar, its very peaceful and calm. I have to say Okami as well, though I had hoped nobody else had said it. Its most likely that if you changed it a lot but it could very well be something else.
