Wonderful texture and great contrast, both within the artpiece itself and in the title.
Using normally "calm" colors for something that usually emits a stressful response!
The figure is brought forth from the background with warmer colors, and the backgrounds recedes out nicely with the use of the cool colors.

Purple and blue aren't very threatening colours. I don't know if menace was what you were trying to get across or not? But, yeah, choose less calming colours.
