This was part of an experiment using a bare-bulb strobe for lighting, to get really high contrast shots. Unfortunately, a bare bulb strobe is really really painful on the eyes and lens... A whole series was ruined due to lens flare, and in most of the shots, the model is cowering from the evil light.

But was delighted to have this come out of that series, and we both learned tons doing it, which was half the point.
