But what is the price
For this perfection?
What is the cost
For being so vain?
Perfect attitude, perfect grades
Perfect life, perfect wave
Perfect clothes, perfect form
Perfect since she was born
But through all this perfection
Is a tangled web of lies
And the mask of deception
Locks away what’s inside
What will you do
When it all comes crashing down?
Where will you go
When you’re forced out of town
They will all talk
About the girl who played pretend
And how she let the tears fall
When it all came to an end
No longer with her perfect hair
Or perfect face
Without her perfect smile
And perfect waist.
