Yeah, it's Tom Collins from RENT. This is my first attempt at life-likefigure drawings, so it's really not that great. But I tried, and that's the important thing. I alos got really lazy towads the end, so it's prolly not my best work ever. But...pencil on paper

The cloth and the hands turned out nicely. You should be very proud of the hands, because they are fairly hard to get the hang of, you did a pretty good job here. You still need work on faces though. His mustache looks like it goes all the way across the right side of his face, maybe a shading error? His left eye is too small in comparison to the other, and it makes him look like he is squinting or in pain. Which you may have intended. Also hair should never have a well defined ending in a realistic portrait. In comic land sure, you can (and should) get away with it, however, here it really clashes with the rest of the piece. Do give the coat a well defined end though. Ok, that's all I can think of off the top of my head. Just keep practicing, that's how you get better.

Yeah, this was my first attempt at doing a lifelike human type drawing. Faces are erally hard, in my opinion. I see what you're saying abot the mustache, though. I think it's a shading error, as you said. I made that part too dark, whereas the rest of the shading is a little lighter. But yeah, thank you so much for your critique and helpful suggestions! As far as the hair goes, I was trying for a skull cap look, so if that's not how it comes across, I think perhaps I gotta work on that then. But yes, thank you so much for your critique! I really appreciate it.

Yeah, that's here I got lazy. VERY lazy, I might add. Actually, I think I was just tired, as I just slept for about 5 hours... so I may fix him up so it looks a little better down there...
