Description
A race created by the mysterious Ellimist, complete pacifists, all they want is to play with others. In fact, the Pemalites created a 'race' of their own (the robotic Chee) just to play with.The Pemalites were wiped out by the bloodthirsty Howlers, creations of the Ellimist's nemeis Crayak. The Chee were able to pass down the spirit of the Pemalites to the domesticated wolves of Earth, giving us dogs, while they lived with humans, disguised as humans, though never greatly influencing them.

The fleshy parts on the chee weird me out a bit, but I'm very squeamish. (At least, they look it. My apologies if that's not what it looks like.) The Pemalites/Chee are probably my second favorite aliens/alien robots besides the Andalites, if only because my favorite animals are dogs! This came out fantastic! Your imagining of the Pemalites is really spot on; A humanoid-ish dog that doesn't look too anthromorpic, just enough.

Okay let me make sure I got this... The Chee genetically-engineered Pemalite DNA into wolves giving us dogs? But these guys look like retrievers or something, I always thought that since the first actually dogs looked kind of like Huskys, they would look more like husky-people.

Pemalites are cute werewolves but the Che I read and remember had silver and white plates for 'skin.'
