Description The humor of this strip is heavily dependent on what version of the story you grew up with. I always remember the wolf eating them both and then they both just popped out of is stomach magically okay at the end. It didn't even seem logical at the time.

Ah the stupid things adults tell children because they think children are unperceptive.

Well, I don't think digestion works quite so quickly. It's the fact that the wolf apparently swallows them whole which troubles me...

Hmmmm.... You know you're right.  Little red should have found him choking on grandma.

That's what adults were hiding from children.

You know, for childrens tales, alot of these stories are pretty grim-dark...xD

I mean, the woodsman freaking mutilates the wolf in EVERY interpretation of the story, not just the original! I remember when I was a kid and I read the story, I was like "Sweet Jesus lumberjack!!"

Actually in the newer versions I've been finding online the woodsman bops the wolf on the head, or the wolf panics spits them out and runs off. It strange how old stories that were produced to teach children about danger no longer contain danger.

As a kid I've actually heard two different versions. I think the other version included a hunter blowing Mr. Wolf's head off.
