She's really just a simple regular, headstrong woman. Originally I was going to make it be Giselle carrying Emma, but then I thought: for one that just makes he seem too much as the male role...which I tend to do a lot and trying not to. Also I just see her as generally being strong, she's a waitress for one so she carries heavy items a lot and well...she also carries a baby in her belly for 9 months! lol
