as if in foreverI had burst out
as if I forever
sought to
gain some recognition
but as we begin
to lose face
to the impersonality
of our
corporate society
ambiquity becomes
the only feature
to stand out
in our community
how are we to be
noticed for anything
incredible;
known for anything
at all when
the greatest thing
we have to show
is a pocket
full of medication
and a mind
full on fabrication
the ideal that
alone we're
stable enough
to continue
I'd have to design
and show the spectrum
in the hopes
that someone
would understand
the beauty and need
the human race has
for another.
and
we would rather
fall
and completely
deny
the fact
of our insecurity
but with one
last chance
perhaps
we might
gain some ground
in our pursuit
for this ever
so elusive
creature.

known
as
romantic
pleasure.
far enough
to keep you
doubting of
finding it
or of its
existence.
yet bright
enough
to always
keep you
running;
as if your body
has not doubt
that it exists.
