Description droplets follow down
and pool in a body
distill and grow
some with flavor
distinction intact
yet as you add to groups
you just fade; dilute

[chorus:]
what's the point in progression
if you'll never gain recognition
I can just pretend to be
someone else; and forget
who I am after all.

and as we trail about
marking our paths
and looking on
some struggle with change
yet I just struggle in the past
cling to these scraps
of what was left
clippings of art
in a tapestry of chaos

[chorus:]
what's the point in progression
if you'll never gain recognition
others become so dependent
you forget about being so weak
but as you stress
burrow through your worries
you refer to so much lost

but I guess somethings;
they never change
as much as you believe
you could cover the cracks
these walls begin to shatter
and foundations begin to crack
so much for glory
so much for faith
for any virtues left inmind
you can't change a thing
with a fucking song
no; you can't change a thing
with a single song.

Oi, this one made more sense to me, it was easier for someone as poetry-illeterate as me to grasp

"what's the point in progression
if you'll never gain recognition"
I also like how easy it is to connect to this part, instead of some sort of feeling most people wouldn't get. It makes it a bit more interesting!
