In an alternate timeline, the course of events has shifted. Kion had been born after the events that transpired with the Outlanders and the Pridelanders. While Kovu had been born youngest, with him courting the future Queen, it was decided by the Lion Guards of the Past that Vitani would take on the Role as leader of the Lion Guard. And she truely had earned her title. She had put up quite the fight with Nala, and she was the first to step forth and reject the wishes of Zira to destroy Simba's pride. This had marked her as the Fiercest, and so, she had been given the mark of the Guard, and the Roar of the Elders, being taught all she could by Mufasa. But unknown to her and Kovu, Zira had never really been their mother, just as scar was never truly their father. They had been cubnapped when they were just babies. And there were things about Zira even Simba had not known about, nor the rest of the Pridelanders. Not long after Vitani named her Guard members and formed her team, Kion had been born into the royal family. Nala said that one day, when Vitani was ready to pass on the responsibilities, Kion could take Vitani's place as leader of the Lion Guard.

Now, at a present day in the pridelands, Vitani has just tracked down Kion, and has him securely in her strong, but caring jaws, after the little prince had snuck off again. He had his father's rambunctious and adventurous nature, and it kept the pride on their toes, especially the Guard, now with a hyena clan that Jasiri and Janja's clan had been afraid that they would show their faces again, and had now returned, which posed a great danger to the young prince if they knew he was out on his own. Vitani may not be his mother or sister by blood, but like Nala and Kiara, she'll go down fighting before she'd let any harm befall Little Prince Kion. He was a little brother to her, in more ways then just a brother-in-law. And older siblings defend the younger siblings to the end. Thankfully, today there was no danger, where they were, for the invading Hyena clan had been seen on the other side of the Pridelands, far from where they were. Now to get the little adventurer back home.
