Created for my final college assignment which was basically a freestyle assignment where we had to choose a company project brief from a range of websites.

Shame on you if you didn't guess I chose O2. Their brief centered on making a piece of any format that portrayed the slogan "We're Better Connected", and whereas most other people took a more obvious method of showing this, I tried to go for a design which related to this but wasn't focused entirely upon it.

After many concept ideas I determined the O2 Wireless Festival was the best option to develop, as it showed the most potential. Originally, the neon sign was to be accompanied by a mascot called Bubble Boy, however he was cut from the final design due to his complex nature.

Neon effects were chosen for the logo as it would show the term "wireless" in a visual way, with the logo being on yet no wires are attached. Simple neon bubble shapes are placed around the posters edge to portray freshness and make the design more appealing, whilst lighting effects behind the crowd portray the festival vibe.

To show connection, a small piece of information is detailed at the base of the poster informing viewers of a contest that allows them to be connected. This contest revolves around those attending the festival to text a number that places their mobile number onto the festival screens which allows others in attendance to text them, which would connect everyone using mobile phones, a market focus of O2. All numbers shown on the screens are entered into a contest with the winner meeting all the bands backstage after the festival.

For most of this assignment I was and still currently am quite ill, with a somewhat mysterious abdominal pain, however contrary to what most teachers expected I got the entire assignment completed on time. So I'm quite proud of ending my college years with something such as this even with odds stacked against me.
