Hey everyone!

This is the 1st time I enter the PUPA challenge for the group ArtChrysalis and it was great fun The idea is that we all have the same reference photo, and everyone creates their own artwork from it, and upload it on the last day of the month

So, this is the reference photo we had to use:

I've immediately fallen in love with these colors, all the shades of white in this fur and this totally relaxed pose!! I hesitated on which medium to use for a long time, then decided on colored pencils on toned paper, and I really don't regret it, it was fun and I like the result
As you see, I chose to change the background, the zoo enclosure didn't inspire me much,... so I put this bear back into its natural habitat: sea, ice, snow and mountains in the far background... it was quite a challenge and took me time and a lot of tests at the bottom of the page to make sure this whole piece didn't look like a white-on-white-in-the-middle-of-white picture it was very interesting!!
