My latest pet portrait!!
This is for my dear friend Véro We first met in 2017 because she wanted English lessons and it was really "friendship at first sight"... 30 minutes of chat and we were laughing together as if we'd been friends for years... so, Véro, if ever you read this, thank you so much for your smile and good mood and friendship!

This little bunny is a rare Swiss species, listed and promoted by "Pro Specie Rara" (Latin for "for rare species"), a national association that promotes rare and local vegetables, fruit, animals,...

The Little-Grey Swiss rabbit started as a species around 1900 from a cross-breeding between wild rabbits and blue rabbits (dunno which ones), giving them this greyish-blue fur, a round body and much energy, health and strength. In some of the languages spoken in Switzerland I could find, it's called Lapin Petit-Gris Suisse (little-Grey Swiss Rabbit) in French, "Fehkaninchen" ("vair" or "Siberian-Squirrel-colored" Rabbit) in German and "Coniglio Grigio Perla Svizzero" (Grey-Pearl Swiss Rabbit) in Italian... I don't know if it has a name in English... if you do, please let me know!!
