Loved the banter at the end. The comment about the yellow paint was what made me think that Frollo and Gothel aren't such bad parents...then again, Gothel DID kidnap Rapunzel for reasons I can't comprehend since magic hair doesn't exist here, so maybe she bought paint for the same reasons she would get it in the movie. To keep them in line.
I don't see many reasons in this universe why Gothel would steal Rapunzel in the first place unless it was out of a desire to be a parent. Arizona all over again.
Glad to see Quasi knows the difference between friendship and romance and taking it in stride. Probably helps that Rapunzel is his sister.

Buying this for your children is enough to make them "not so bad"? Gothel went out to get Rapunzel that social paint supply in the movie.
I think Gothel wanted a child but didn't want to "wreck" her body making one. The child being an accessory not a person. Something to reflect on her. Maybe there was some ideas of "Munchausen by proxy syndrome" in the making that her marriage to Frollo probably dampened.
If you remember the movie, Quasi denys the idea of Esmerelda liking him aswell when the gargoyles suggest it and make a song about it. He still hopes though.
