I do not know German politics as well as someone who lives there, but probably more than most Americans. As an ardent leftist I have great hope for parties like Die Linke and the Greens, and am suspicious of mainstream parties like the CDU--and the Social Democrats too! Some recent problems in your country that concern me are the rise of anti-Muslim sentiment (hate) and your government's drive to re-militarization (war). The same things that concern me about what is going on in the U.S.
Anyway, you seem to have a remarkable grasp of the situation here. As you say, Bernie Sanders is our only candidate for President worth supporting right now!

Our big problem in Germany is that the old parties
CDU, SPD, FDP and Greens are the mainstream parties.
That means all these parties make the same politics.
These parties don't care about the worries from their citizen.

Our government tries to improve the skills of our army again.
Our army is into a disastrous shape.
In the meantime we need urgently our army for fighting against criminals because our police is hopeless understaffed.
