shifting in a thousand different directions

To spin in circles in a field, staring at the moon
and feel the earth move beneath my feet
Reluctant to stand still

To touch cold rushing water
And try to grasp the bubbles furiously passing between my fingers
Trapped between rock and oppressive heat

To lay beneath a fruitless apple tree
and talk to imaginary children
Crunching made up fruit
