if i was using this and ran out of ammo, i would probably be using this as a melee weapon.

Very valid question. There is no point/hole a human could poke his thumb through which is essential in holding a rifle.
And being an anti-personnel rifle I wouldn't count on it always standing on a tripod. Infantry combat has the messy habit of getting up close rather frequently.
The filled section near the handle would be good for having your hand grip through the body, but another shot ( moth3r.deviantart.com/art/AP-C⦠) shows that the clip is inserted there. Having a gun mounted on a tripod there which you need to hold/aim with both hands seems kinda counter productive.
Apart from that: Nice clean looks, almost seems like an energy/beam weapon normally mounted on a vehicle or powered exo / combat armor.

I don't always disclose my briefs, it's always a pleasure to see how you guys would figure it out. It could be via hand/handle integrated magnets, suction cups or bare hands. or simply hold it close to your body. I was primarily searching for interesting silhouette, yet different from assault rifle. Handles were out of question so it was conciseness decision for the better or worse.

can you attach a suppressor to the rifle?

There is a cap on the top. Β If you remove it, you can replace it with another part completely. That could be suppressor or something completely different.
