It had been raining from the moment our train arrived at Amsterdam (for which we weren't exactly prepared...) and a lot of the day was spend walking through the rain. Unlike most people, a lot of animals really don't care whether they or their surroundings are wet. This Hudson's Bay Wolf had been out in the rain for a while, and rain drops were clinging to the fencing and the grass.

To be honest though, it actually made for some different circumstances and natural bokeh as he enjoyed the raindrops and we enjoyed his beauty.

Species: Hudson Bay Wolf

Latin name: Canis Lupus Hudsonicus

Originates from Hudson Bay.

Current status: Not evaluated, but considered Endangered

Did you know:

…The Hudson Bay Wolf is often called Tundra Wolf, which is an entirely different subspecies of the Gray Wolf, while they in fact similar to the Mackenzie Valley Wolf, only smaller.

…They have been hunted in the 19th and 20th century for their pelts.

…Their fur ranges from a light gray to a yellowish-white or cream color, but the fur lightens in the Winter.
