Latin name: Pelecanus Onocrotalus

Originates from southeastern Europe to Asia and Africa.

Current status: Least Concern

…The Great White Pelican is considered a huge Bird – only the Dalmatian Pelican is on average larger in the Pelican family. They measure 140 to 180 cm in length (55 to 71 in) with a beak that’s between 28.9 to 47.1 cm long (11.4 to 18.5 in) and a wingspan of 226 to 360 cm (7 ft 5 in to 11 ft 10 in). Only the Great Albatross has a larger wingspan.

…The species shows sexual dimorphism in their size and bulk – males are on average 30% more massive than females.
