Species: Grey Crowned Crane (Grijze kroonkraan[vogel])

Latin name: Balearica Regulorum

Originates from the dry Savannah in Africa, South of the Sahara.

Current status: Endangered

Did you know:

…Together with the closely related Black Crowned Crane, it is the only Crane that can roost in trees, because of their long hind toe that can grasp tree branches.
