Where: Reptielenhuis de Aarde Breda, the Netherlands

It's one of few zoos in the Netherlands which allows you a supervised encounter with one of the zoo's residents. Basically, it's part of the zoo's daily routine; animals are taken out of their terrarium no matter how many visitors are around (aka: if there's only 2, they'll still show you and allow you a tiny interaction with the animal).

Species: Royal or Ball Python (Koningspython)

Latin name: Python Regius

Originates from west and central Africa.

Current status: Least Concern
