This is a young female Cougar of a few months old. She was a circular, dome-like enclosure and you could get fairly close as she was entertaining herself - and purring like crazy!

Latin name: Puma Concolor

Originates from the Americas.

Current Status: Least Concern

…It is closer to related to smaller felines, than any subspecies of Lion.
