This is an older photo, one we debated a long time over whether or not to submit. M edited and got it ready for submission, but wasn't sure we should submit it. I thought it was fun, and figured that even though it's not perfect, it's a nice photo
This was taken around the time where a few of the Cheetahs were being adorable, cuddling together while being sleepy - this one was just left on his own when slumber took over

Species: Cheetah (Jachtluipaard)

Latin name: Acinonyx Jubatus

Originates from Africa and the Middle East.

Current status: Vulnerable

…The Cheetah can clock in to 112 to 120 km/h (70 to 75 mph), making it the fasted land animal on the planet, covering 500 meters (1,600 ft) in short burst, and being able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in three seconds.

…It is one of the few Felids with semi-retractable claws.
