This Hyena wasn't planning on leaving the soaked, broken-off piece of wood in the pool and let one of the others play with it. The pool was his preferred playground, and he'd be the one playing with the toys stashed underwater.

Though they played more often in the pool this year, we've only witnessed it once. It was really quite amazing to see though as they weren't gentle or hesitant at all Imagine a lot of splashes and horsing around.

Species: Spotted or Laughing Hyena (Gevlekte of lachende hyena)

Latin name: Crocuta Crocuta

Originates from Africa.

Current status: Least Concern
