Where: Mondo Verde Landgraaf, The Netherlands

But what *does* his face say, you might wonder. Well, that's up to you to decide

Species: Hudson Bay Wolf

Latin name: Canis Lupus Hudsonicus

Originates from Hudson Bay.

Current status: Not evaluated, but considered Endangered

 Did you know:

…The Hudson Bay Wolf is often called Tundra Wolf, which is an entirely different subspecies of the Gray Wolf, while they in fact similar to the Mackenzie Valley Wolf, only smaller.

…They have been hunted in the 19th and 20th century for their pelts.

…Their fur ranges from a light gray to a yellowish-white or cream color, but the fur lightens in the Winter.

Wolf eyes are scary from head on.

They are!
There are 2 that I think are related, and 1 that isn't related to the other. The first 2 have a bit more muted eyes (or they keep their heads down more) but the other's eyes are piercing and so stunning while also startling

Thanks
Haha, and here in the Netherlands everyone is a fit because it appears 3 wolves have crossed the border from Germany and 1 has settled in.

Wow. If wolves could cross the border from Canada into the U.S., I'd be happier (though I don't want my outdoor animals to get eaten.)

I've seen a coyote once, I have a coyote skin that was my late uncle's (he liked to hunt), and my grandparents have a fox skin that used to be his. I've also seen a fox while hunting with my father.

Cool(even though I’m kinda against poaching)

JRPDraws In reply to hubertberrum [2019-04-13 02:46:03 +0000 UTC]

I don't think he was poaching. I'm not sure where my uncle got the skins from, cause my grandfather (his dad) goes up to Canada sometimes with some friends, so maybe he wenr with him once and got it there? Again, I dunno. I never knew my uncle that well

I’ve got a friend who runs a preserve in New Jersey. They are not wild, more like overgrown dogs at this point.

D, nice shot.
