Description
someone asked me how i resize my pixels, so here's how i was able to do it solely in SAI before i learned the turbo easy way to do it in photoshopnote that to make it transparent you'll still need a way to make it transparent. this is just a workaround to resizing the canvas in a way that won't anti-alias the edges of your pixels
note also that you can only rly zoom in by certain increments or else it'll look blurry; multiples of 100 are good
also also note that you can go in reverse with no weird stuff happening, meaning you can resize a pixel that's already 300x300 down to 50x50 the normal way you resize canvases and it'll be fine!
i might do more tutorials? i dunno? let me know what you think!
sorry for any typos i am not an editor

Just a question, sorry if it comes off as rude, I'm not really familiar with SAI, but is there no option to turn off interpolation upon resizing?Β That would deal with the AA without having to do all the print screen stuff.Β Again, just genuinely curious, not intending to be rude, just haven't used SAI and the workaround seems to have quite a lot of steps.

Could you perhaps make a turorial how to size a bigger drawing (400x600 px for example) into a small (50x50 px)? I still donβt get it right Β

You can use a vector program like Inkscape. Import it and make sure you check the image quality as blocky.
Then export it as a smaller image.
The downside is that it's not perfect and pixels will be missing.
But if you go in and edit it, and make it look complete again, it looks pretty okay.
This is the best way I've personally discovered so far.

there's a button on PC computers called "PrntScr" which means Print Screen
it basically takes a snapshot of your computer screen

transparent bucket tool works for pieces 90% of time (if there isn't anything complicated)
just make sure its anti-aliasing is off
maybe it will help someone who's new with sai

ahhh it's easy in Photoshop! so up to image size -> in the resize menu, change the dimensions to whatever pixel size you want, then in the drop down menu at the bottom of the resize menu, select "nearest neighbor (preserve hard edges)" and ur set
