I think I like this more actually, sometimes it can be more enjoyable for the character to be on the edge instead, plus more options for fun that way.

My only critic is that the original had better expansion progression passing, but I guess that's more about the commissioner  there's only so much you can do with 2 pages.  Anyway its great.

Great observation and I’m glad you understand it’s not easy for slow transitions when I’m only given so many panels also so ppl come to me with each page mapped out so I don’t have much input outside of the visual drawing

Thanks. I try to be honest and thoughtful with my comments because I know that's what i would want for myself. 
It sounds pretty cool that your commissioners have everything all together.
