I am in the processes of learning to digital paint myself, and I am always glad to see that deviantart has a plethora of great sources and people to refer to. I am glad for these processes you make because it really does help my thoughts organize, especially with the refining in the end. Thanks again for such fantastic work and inspiration and hope you are doing well. c:

About what opacity do you lay in those first big broad colors, and do you keep that same setting as you go in more detailed?

you know... when standing next to a huge skyscraper , you look all the way up, trying to see the top... you end end up feeling all dizzy and get the impression that the sky is gonna fall on your head. that's the feeling i get watching you work lol. 2 hours... geez , that some awesome precision.

What layer mode do u set ur pencil layer to? I hate drawing stuff out digitally and can never get the pencil scan to come out properly with colours in PS.

Love the dragon but what a clever idea to show the proces in a Gif manner. Not sure if it was your orginal idea but heck, first that I ever bumped into. Opens up the process rather alot. Points!

sick rendering man, very neat job with the lighting - did you consciously add a green spotlight or is that just the prismatic color of the dragons skin/scales reflecting light?
