It's okay. I really do enjoy the coloring and the fine detail on the "backpack" and weapon arm, as well.

Practice! With lots of pics that don't work along the way . . .
There weren't any perspective-lines or anything in this, so I can't really help you much, but as a general rule there really aren't any quick ways to get perspective going...

I am curious how you accuired the shiny surface of the armor. You go through any certain steps through coloring. Only basic brushes, right?

Yep; though I used more soft-edge brushes on this one than usual, as well as making a bit more use of a combination of quick-masking and the gradient tool, which made the smoothness stand out. The secondary light plays a very important role there too, and that was just done with an hue/saturation adjustment layer.
