Doctor’s Comments/Observations: Since the last assessment, I have noticed that Adora-1 spends a lot of time staring into the mirror at herself. I asked her in our most recent personality rehabilitation therapy session why that is and she responded that she’s trying to remember her former life before we found her nearly dead. She has been increasingly able to remember bits and pieces of her past; however there has been no major breakthrough of her regaining her full memory or even large chunks of her memories. As I stated in my last entry, with the amount of her original organic brain that is missing along with the retroactive scans that has proven the damaged caused by the Sataria Daemon’s programming, there is a very slim chance that she will ever regain her memories one-hundred percent. Yet I am being optimistic that it will return and I will continue to do everything in my abilities to help this poor woman discover just who she really is.

Unfortunately, we don’t have much to go on as to just who Nikki Simone-Rattica was. All that we can tell is that she was a supersoldier in the military and had risen to the rank of Major Lieutenant at the time of her assimilation nine years ago at the hand of the Sataria Daemon. Being that she was both high ranking military personnel and a part of the supersoldier program, much of her info is classified. We don’t know where she’s from or any of her next-of-kin to notify, and with the recent happenings of the Entity’s wave of terror and oppression who’s to say that any of her family members are even still alive?

It does seem like with each remembered occurrence that her memory is indeed returning, albeit very slowly. I have done my best in helping her remember and treating her as much as a normal human as I possibly can, considering that nearly everyone else treats her like a bio-weapon…like a machine. Ever since we discovered her human born name, I’ve made it a point to call her Nicole or Nikki whenever I address her directly instead of her cyborg designation. She finds it strange at times, as she still refers to herself as Adora-1…almost as if she doesn’t fully believe that she’s a human, or at least that she used to be. I have to constantly remind her that her humanity is indeed very real despite her lack of organics. However, she has progressed in leaps and bounds, as she has taken on quite the charming persona and at least seems to be attempting to be ‘human’ at times…she’s actually quite witty and fun when she wants to be! In the first few days after her reactivation she was rather cold, robotic, and distant to everyone. Even now there are some days where her machine side seems to be the dominate personality trait and she is a bit more logical and detached than she is when her ‘illogical’ human side is on display; however these are all normal symptoms of Dissociative Fugue Amnesia. Usually this occurs when she engages in battle and her combat and survival programming protocol has initiated itself.

With that being said, she was reformulated to be a bio-weapon at the orders of Daedalus and as much as I’d personally like to cultivate her human side, she was designed and built to be a living weapon. As for her role as Project: Genesis, she has done nothing short of exceed everyone’s expectations…including my own…as she is more powerful and efficient than I thought. Not to brag or anything, I did design her body specs to make her the ultimate cyborg bio-weapon, however that mysterious diamond-like gem that’s inside of her chest seems to amplify her cyborg body. Plus, it also seems as if Nicole’s warrior instinct kicks in when she’s engaged on a mission…her brain waves and patterns are much different than her Adora-1 combat programming, causing her to respond and react much differently and naturally than her programming predicates. I once heard a quote from a seasoned veteran soldier which I believe is the case here, “Real soldiers are born, not manufactured.” Nonetheless, she’s been awesome in helping Daedalus and Caliber to turn the tides of the ongoing war against the Sataria possessed “Matriarch” and her evil Entity.

If only I could figure out how to restore Adora-1’s memory then perhaps we could also find out more about Sataria and the Entity. I try to jog her memory about whatever she can remember of her time with them, and the only thing that she can vividly remember was the excruciating assimilation process where she was intensively transformed against her will into an Elite Drone for Sataria. That event actually causes Adora-1 to experience PTSD-like panic attacks and night terrors; there have been some nights where I had to manually deactivate her so that she could actually get some rest without experiencing horrible nightmares. I have since implanted a microchip which helps her control her thoughts to prevent those traumatic episodes from debilitating her as they do…the last thing we need is for her to have a panic attack in the middle of a battle!

All in all, Project: Genesis is a success, and Adora-1 is much more special than I initially perceived. She has given the people hope that we can indeed overthrow the Entity and rid the Earth of the Entity once and for all…that’s my hope at least! And perhaps one of these days her memory will return as close to full as possible and we can find out just who Nicole Simone-Rattica really is.

I've got Nikki fever right now! Here's one that I've been wanting to do for a few years now...I saw the ref pic that I used for this piece in a magazine that belonged to my ex-girlfriend. It was a Cover Girl makeup ad featuring Drew Berrymore...I just wanted to draw it so bad as I remembered thinking how cool would this pose look if I did it with one of my cyborg babes. (Everything looks cooler when cyborg babes are doing it!) I tried a while ago and it looked like crap, so I left it alone.

However, I had come across the ref pic again recently and decided to take another shot at it...I like how this came out. I've been trying to get back to drawing for the fun of it rather than stress myself out too much b/c I'm trying to get the pic perfect. Sure, I want to produce a top quality drawing, yet doing that sometimes takes the fun out of it b/c I'm too worried about what others will think rather than just drawing and enjoying the process. I know her hands are jacked up, but I do like how everything else came out!

I'm STILL playing with ideas for Nikki/Adora-1's revamp. Don't know if the assessment story above will hold as canon...just wanted to flex the writing skills a bit and I thought it would be cool if I did it from the POV of a medical exam/summary.
