Description
Tutorial from my digital drawing that shows you my drawing process step by step. Done in Photoshop CS2. Each step is another layer. Hope it's useful somehow.P.S. This was the first time I drew digital portrait, so, it's like you are watching how I transferred my longtime traditional-drawing experiences into digital way. I was excited and uncertain at the beginning, and when I finished this work I found that digital drawing is much more comfortable for me.
I held Draw Tom Ripley contest. See the result here.

I told them to draw me Tom Ripley first and I'd give them some points in return. After I had got 2 pieces, I started to think "why not make it as a contest? It's gonna be fun."
At first, I didn't intend to make a big contest because the idea came too late. I

Just a simple soft round brush in size 1-2 px. I drew every single hair. Didn't use any special hair brush.

I still LOVE it. I'm glad you make this account and take this name.
Can I ask you? At the last frame you put the texture... What is it: texture brush, texture, grain or filter?
It still a big problem at my art, as I think... All looks too plastic

The skin texture in the last step is what I learned from this tutorial. [link]
I have never tried skin texture brushes yet. Sheridan J is very great about using them. You can learn from his/her tutorials here [link]
I have seen your works. They are good. If you add some texture, I think they will be very good.
