My first try at vector art. took me like 10-12hrs.I need comments for improvement.

hi need some help? try using Flash (what I use) for vectoring. it is easy to use and simple to add customisable gradients. the fact that this simple image took so long is proof that it isnt working for you.

and i need to know how to use gradients in vectoring. like how to add gradients to shapes and what colour combination and stuff. anyone can help?

I believe that it is good, only a minimum detail try mark more certain parts, like unions of arms, legs. Try to give more details to those parts.
