Yeah, I didn't really do much with the shadow - the only light source is a skylight with the light tracer enabled.

Please excuse my ignorance, but what's an HDRI?

hdri - high dynamic range image

its used to illuminate renderings, i assumed u used it, coz the piece looked like radiosity/global illum
