Ever feel like this around the holidays? Here's a little dragon to remind you to unwind now and then.
This is the first time I tried incorporating bokeh into an image, but it seemed appropriate for the background. I love the effect! I did them using this great tutorial: abduzeedo.com/awesome-digital-…

What format was this uploaded in, if I may ask? I have animations with glow effects in .gif format, but they look odd when converted into a .gif animation.

It's an animated .gif. As far as I know, unless you want to mess with Flash files, the only way you can do animations online is with .gif files. The reason you're probably getting odd looking results is because a .gif file is limited to only 256 colors total (including all animation frames), so any image with colors that blend into each other may end up looking really blocky or even changing color between frames of the animation. Different programs work different ways, of course, but my best advice is to mess around with the settings, especially if it allows you to lock colors or change the dithering (that means, the way the file deals with colors that blend into each other). I hope that helps!

This is priceless...terrific lighting, and I defy anyone not to chuckle and be charmed by the dragon's surprised expression and slapstick pose. The flashing lights are a nice touch as well, great way to mark the season. : thumbsup:

So this is the creature who has been knotting all the Christmas lights I had put a way neat since last year LoL. I think the image is quite cute and the message is true in a hectic season, we should all take time to relax now and then, before it all becomes just too crazy. I think this is a great looking card, and even better animated, well done.

I just know so many people who go completely nuts for the holiday, but then end up exhausted for most of January, heh. I try not to get so caught up in it that I lose sight of the rare time I get to spend with family and friends, without the pressure of work and all. It's a breath of fresh air.
