The way I learned is by looking at tutorials. There are some good ones on here as well as on Renderosity. I've never really used Daz3D, but you can get the same results from it as you can with Poser...and it' free

Yeah. I've never thought about it, but I guess I am self-taught. I just do it for fun...a way to pass the time.
I'm not real good at giving tips, but I'll try to help you if I can. I just think there's better out there than me to learn from
