Troubling, but excellent at the same time. Like something straight out of a Midsummernight's Dream.
One of Peasleblossoms crew.

i like the color contrast. giraffes have blue tongues, so is that where you got the idea for the person to be blue, or did that color just come to you? either way, i'm really quite impressed with your sculpture skills. congrats on the dd

Guy-raffe or something equally inane.
I love the eyes- the little spots on his cheeks are just endearing. Very freckle-like.
Kinda wish there were more angles to see. This is definately something I'd want to see in a real-life setting. Photographs to little for it.

Wow, that is so creepy yet so awesome. I had to stare at it for a while to make sure it wasn't a very stylized drawing or painting. You did a great job, and Giraffes freaking ROCK.

Do you use an armature for your sculptures or are they just made from solid clay?

mudmonkey In reply to LadyZil [2005-07-06 08:08:12 +0000 UTC]
they are hollow, but there is no armature...i build them using coil and pinch techniques. It can get tricky with small stuff...but it's a pretty good way to work.

really I would never have thought they were hollow but obviously they must be or you wouldn't be able to fire them. I love your work and I look forward to seeing more of your creations.
