Description
To All Those Poetsby Lobo Di Noccento
written on June 30 2015
To All Those Poets Whom Are:
Heartless,
Passionless,
Uninspired,
Repeaticious in the dribble that they speak,
Para-phrasing the dribble that they speak,
Not understanding the meaning of the dribble
that they speak,
Never building toward a plateaue in your sentences,
phrases, and paragraphs in order to make a point.
Chances are more than just good that you should stop trying to be a poet.
I know you grew up on Dr. Seuss, Mark Twain and Lewis Caroll; Please
keep in mind that I do concur they all made poetry sound really easy,
but the truth is that not every poet is as articulate as they all were.
Some Poets and Lyricists compose rhymes or prose in their heads, on paper,
computer or computer devices some of these we are yet to hear and then
there are the others that have paid all of the financial prices.
Being a real poet takes actual work;
I am sorry if this makes me come
off sounding like a jerk.
I'd rather tell you hard cold facts which you might
really despise; Yet, better that then very well
propogated lies.
If you wanna be a poet then do the following
*get really good at the spelling of words
*get really good at the uses of pronouns, nouns , adverbs and verbs
*get really good at Pronunciation (the way in which a word is said)
*get really good at Articulation(the clear and distinct sounds of a word as used in speech)
*For a Poet the True Telling, is Performance Theater, and no my head is not swelling
*have familiarity with various types and kinds of fonts
*know various verbage and languages
*know words from the very large to the very small
*gain understanding of the meaning of those words
*get a good grasping and a good understanding of grammar
*understand the meaning of terms and
*understanding how to blend terminology.
*know the names of writers and knowing what they wrote;
Especially if your going to use one of their statements or a quote.
* Know the name of more than one poet and more than one writer
* So you can show your diversity as an insider.
