After her mom found her, she freaked out and caught Sky for Rubin.

» History: Rubin wasn’t actually gonna capture Nite at first. Rubin thought he looked too much like Spicy, and Spicy and Rubin weren’t on good terms at the time. She didn’t want to make it worse. But, Nite was convincing in how powerful he was when he encountered Rubin. So she captured him for fun. A couple battles later, he evolved. Rubin fell in love.

» History: When Rubin was given the chance to catch her very first pokemon, she was ecstatic. She raced out to find one. She came across a turtwig aggressively beating down on a Riolu, the Riolu not fighting back. She admired the turtwig’s strength and cuteness, but broke up the fight and caught the Riolu. It seems as the Riolu was a released pokemon and was already named Lucky. She didn’t care. She loved him.
