Updated profiles: [link]So uh... I like Lord of the Flies... a lot... I kinda put together what I imagined the main characters to look like, and I shat this out during my trip to DC last week. Half of it was outlined on the Metro (a train) so the lines are shakey~
And if you're curious, I like Ralph and Roger. Ralph because he's organized and almost like the woman of the house (which is adorable mind you) and Roger because he's a sadistic, screwed up, morbid motherfucker and it's AWESOME. (polar opposites...?)

This is INCREDIBLE. The only things I have to say is Ralph is supposed to be the tallest on the island

I know Ralph's supposed to be the tallest, but I have this weird headcanon that Jack grows taller than Ralph on the island. (I think I mentioned it in the comment section.) It's symbolic for the fact that Ralph started off as the leader, but Jack eventually overrode his rule... y'know...? (Does that make sense, I don't even know.)

I didn't really think about them when reading the book for the first time (and I actually didn't realize how many times Maurice showed up in the first read, OOPS... During the second and third reads, I realized that Maurice was pretty... screwed up... And I tried to base all of them off of their personalities...?) I DUNNO, I DON'T MAKE ANY SENSE... But thank you~

this is really good. They actually look the way they were described in the book XD and they don't look stiff at all. Any tips on making poses look natural like this?

As for making natural poses... uh... stare at and draw little boys a lot? (which I do... in a non-creepy way.) Otherwise, moving their hips away from the center of gravity and spreading their legs a little makes for a more natural pose. And bending their spines~ (this all sound quite painful...)

Actually, Jack and Roger's short shorts are because I was outlining their legs... then I realized that I didn't want to draw them butt-naked (I was planning on making them naked, like the book said they were) because I was in a public location... so I threw some pants on them at the last moment. I'd already started to outline their legs, so there wasn't much room for their shorts~

I... just... oh my god, this is so perfect. <3 This has got to be my favourite rendition of the boys ever, and your art is so perfect and oh my god the shading and lines and anatomy and even the feet are so bloody amazing and dear god I just love this so much you have no idea I am rambling on but all of them look PERFECT and my gosh I need to get a grip but I'm far too much in awe. xD I love their expressions and the way you draw legs and their eyes and I might sound like a perv but the way you draw chests and just everything-- ignore all that blabbering and have the tl;dr version: I think this is absolutely tremendously superb and everything else amazing under the sun. *A* You have just made my day, my week, and possibly my entire month. How can I love a picture so much? I just can.
Roger and Ralph look especially great here, they're my favourites too but I love all of them |D <33
