You have an interesting concept here in the lonely leaf. It's a solid idea to catch that last leaf on a branch, but a few technical and composition issues prevent this piece from really popping out at a person. The first is that the trees in the background are far too in focus; with all of the white space and light colors, your eye doesn't fall on the leaf so much as the trees beside it. Really open up your aperture next time to reduce the depth of field and render that tree out of focus even more. The closer you can get it to an indistinct blur that doesn't resemble a tree, the better. Or shift your viewpoint a bit so that the tree isn't directly behind the leaf. Composition wise, there's a branch here that would run beautifully along the top third of the photo, but in this picture it's basically out of frame. I'd have set the branch along the top third, with the leaf hanging down along the rightside third of the photo, so that the two of them create a downward pointing L. This will draw people's eyes to the branch, their eyes will run along the branch, note that its empty and fall to the leaf.
Other than that, it looks good! Keep it up!
