Description Her fallen words drift down to earth
And settle into me.
They align to make a one way path,
The end I cannot see.

My dear you draw me in so deep
Then push me far away.
This fallen angel softly keeps
My spirit in her sway.

But I will wander 'till I'm freed,
In pleasant misery.
A glance of you is all I need,
Your touch a chain to me.

And still this ice cold fire burns
Like liquid in my veins;
And as I trust, it slowly turns,
Love to me it feigns.

And maybe in some sunlit field,
When the time is right -
I'll hold and you will not flee,
Back into your sweet night.

Maybe someday you'll release
These chains that hold me here,
And maybe someday I'll make my peace,
The ending will be made clear.

You were not made for cages
In this grey world of ours,
My love must fill these pages,
These words it must devour.
