Anyone who follows me knows if I update a drawing I love comparing it to the old one. It's been a literal decade since I drew the old one. So much has changed - for one thing my DCU character used to be a boy! I created him back when only the Justice League cartoon was on Cartoon Network and I was WAY into Yaoi. Everyone was gay. LOL it was ahead of it's time.

Just kidding. I often go back to revamp stories and improve upon characters - my DCU oc actually started out as a girl named Amethyst, then she turned into the daughter of Wally West and her name was Genesis West and for some reason she was raised by Batman and most of her story revolved around her life in the Teen Titans (presumably because of the 2004 cartoon and comics of that time). And then Genesis' story stalled so I turned her into Thomas - the son of my first OC, again raised and named by Batman and he was basically just a body to put with DC guys on Y-gallery (does anyone still remember that place). Thomas turned into Colin (who was almost named 'Dallas' because that's where Superman found him) and for a while he had two different colored eyes and thus I started this story line of the oc being Lex Luthor's amnesia ridden son. Again, Justice League ended and so did my motivation for Colin's story until Young Justice premiered and it was such a sausage fest that I turned Colin into Calin just to bring it full circle and end up with a female DCU oc again.

What a history with this character! And hopefully my story telling has improved along with my art skills. Biggest improvement? Their over all anatomy. I'm still working on backgrounds and perspectives - maybe next decade I'll get it right
