There were so many different topics that I couldn't decide which three would be best for my project, so I let my tutor pick and he selected these three for me.

I can see why, he suggested those Dvd's. 3ds Max (3ds Clunk as its know in our studio)and Zbrush.. So you won the lottery then.?? Pricey stuff. Haha. But they will be good learning for you. I am sure that these are a few years old now? have you checked what version of software he is using in the tutorials?
The only snags I have found with some of them is the omit little bits, sometimes these bits are important for you to move on forward.
As I am sure you will that find out !But other than that have fun..

I wish, I was just given enough christmas money to buy three. It just says for zbrush and autodesk software, didn't say which versions, but I don't think they're that old if my tutor was the one who picked them.
