Description This Red-breasted Nuthatch hit my window - right next to the WindowAlert decals! I went outside to get him to a safe place before one of the neighborhood cats saw him, but he flew into the tree and rested for about ten minutes. At first he was hanging upside down, but eventually went upright. Not long after, I saw him at my feeders again.

Nice!

Where do you get window alert decals?

I actually won them from the company's Facebook page, but you can also find them at stores like Wildbirds Unlimited. Not sure where else.

Hmmm, actually, I just read somewhere that the lack of mine working could have to do with them not being in good sunlight. Could be the issue since the doors NEVER get sun since they face north and have a deck surrounding them.

Wonder if light-colored ones would work better in that instance?

I'm not sure. The birds have also been hitting my screen door (!!!). This was mostly when I had 100 finches in the yard. Things were a bit crazy and they just kept [lightly] hitting. The ones that come from my close feeder seem to just brush my window while the others coming in from the woods or trees are the hard-hitters =\

That's them! There should be a Hawk design somewhere too. I think that one works better. They seem to ignore the Hummingbird design that I have on my sliding doors and fly right into them *shrug*
